Investigating Cerebral Perfusion Dynamics and Heart Surgery Techniques: A Multidisciplinary Approach
Dominik Schulte was born in Basel, Switzerland. He studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich for both his bachelor's and master's degree with a focus on computer vision and biomedical engineering. For his bachelor thesis, he helped develop an exoskeleton for construction workers which is now available for commercial use, and for his master thesis, he developed an intelligent shunt system for hydrocephalus patients.
His current research is mainly on the development of a MRI-conditional extracorporeal membrane oxygenator in close collaboration with the University Hospital Zurich (USZ).
